He Said It All For Me

Last year when the Chuck Wagon Gang came to our church to sing, they sang one of the most beautiful and touching songs that I had ever heard, "He Said It All For Me." That was the first time I had ever heard the song. As soon as the concert was over I rushed out to the CWG product table to try and buy a CD with the song on it. Unfortunately they didn't have it on any of the CD's that they had brought with them. Penny Greene told me that it was in the CWG songbook, so I bought one of those. It is also on their CD, "Clinging to a Saving Hand," and they have since released it on their CD titled, "Live In Pigeon Forge."

A few weeks ago I introduced the song to our choir. We practiced it 2 or 3 times and I felt that they knew if well enough to go ahead and sing it during the church service. So, the Lord directed me to have them sing it this past Sunday morning. I felt such a blessing from the words. I could barely make it through the entire song because I was crying too much. We had just lost our dear choir member, Mrs. Dockery, and the song was a comfort in time of sorrow. I thought the choir did an excellent job on it despite missing a few key members.

The song was written by Brenda Gordon, a songwriter from Greensboro, NC. Penny Greene said that the CWG call it "Brenda's song." The words are so touching. I think it would be an excellent invitation song to sing during altar call. You can listen to our choir sing it below.
